Hey guys!

Hope you’re having a great day! We just released a fun video on my YouTube channel: a long interview with blues musician Charlie Parr!

Charlie’s great: he’s a fellow Minnesotan, and we’ve been pals for over 20 years now. We used to play shows together at crappy little bars and coffeehouses around southern Minnesota, back in the day. Hehe.

My wife Kitty directed a documentary film called “Jug Band Hokum” back in 2015. It includes appearances by Charlie Parr, Dom Flemons, rappers Bone Thugs ‘n Harmony, and Garrison Keillor (eww) – anyhow, it’s a wild comedy and definitely not one for the kiddos. If ya wanna watch, you can for FREE on YouTube!

That said, this is the full, unreleased interview Kitty filmed for her movie. Plus Charlie plays a great song, then I join him playing the jug! LOL. Watch on YouTube or below. Oh, and keep scrolling down because I’ll share with you a few behind-the-scenes photos from that fun day!

Cheers,
Jack

Heigh-ho, everybody, heigh-ho! I've been singing vaudeville blues music since 1925. I also host a radio show (and podcast), make movies, write books, and perform children's music under the name "Conductor Jack". I'm from Minneapolis, Minnesota (where I learned to drink lutefisk lattes and say "uff da"). Currently roaming around the world singing on street corners, in concert halls, and everywhere in between. My wife's name is Kitty and she's the brains behind Pa.
