Well, friends, I finally did it. My ever-growing hatred for all things Meta finally hit the tipping point today and we deleted the following today:
- Facebook – personal page and all artist pages
- Instagram – all artist pages
- Threads – didn’t even know I had one
- Whatsapp – never used, didn’t know Meta owned, needed to delete in solidarity
- Edits – great for closed captioning, the only thing I may actually (mildly) miss
Why? Mental freedom, joy, happiness. Side benefits: contentment, peace, serenity.
Are there other reasons? Sure. And I’ll share with y’all those some other time. But as for me and my house, tonight we celebrate disconnecting from this useless nonsense.

Will two indie artists be able to “survive” in 2026 and beyond without Facebook, Instagram and all other Meta garbage? Me thinks so. In fact, if I was a betting man – and I am with our careers – me thinks we will be rewarded for not buying into the joke anymore…
So, want a status update? Bookmark this blog, turn your radio on, come to show, watch a YouTube video (or a Kids YouTube video), catch me at your local coffeehouse with a notebook in hand, or find me on your street corner with a typewriter and a ukulele…
In other words: see you in the real world, where life is simple, and smiles are considered old-fashioned. It’s a nice place to be, wanna join me?

Recorded some sound fx for the upcoming Conductor Jack kids Halloween album. Turning out really nice.
Kitty is producing, wrote everything and is mixing right now. Alls I needed to do was toot a train whistle every so often. Plus, she even let me play her (tuned) receptionist bell! Hehe.

Tape transfers continue on the Tiny Tim documentary.
The footage was filmed from 1994 – 1996, and we’re almost done digitizing. Kitty is directing, I’m editing. Should be a feature length documentary film and some sort of related audio documentary. Always trying to think multi-platform…
Here’s a funny pic I snapped at random. Kinda captured the mood of the day. Me and Tiny:

Someone at the library added this sticker to the top of the transfer decks. It made me smile and giggle…

What else to say tonight?
Maybe this: blow up your TV, go to the country, eat a lot of peaches, try and find Jesus on your own…
Cheers,
Jack
