Hey y’all!
Every morning I get up before the crack of down and work on writing projects… books… research… fun! Well, I usually just stream music in the background, but I had a “light bulb moment” & realized that maybe it would be a better use of time to start digitizing my entire record collection.
So I modified my work desk, setting up a turntable that can patch directly into my desktop computer. To ease into this massive project, I’m starting with 33s. Will move on to 78s later.
Why is this project so massive? I have THOUSANDS of records – and last week I picked up about 10K or 15K more! Uff da!
I’m sharing these records as videos on my YouTube channel in hopes that these lost vinyl and shellac records aren’t totally forgotten, and that this great old music finds fresh ears these days. I’m not posting it to my subscribers feeds, cause I don’t want to annoy subs with 5 videos a day (LOL) but every week or so I’ll share a list and links with you here on the blog.

It is was me and I wanted to listen to one of the above right now, I’d pick Mollie Thompson – she was a British gal from the 1960s who self-released this album of tunes that aliens wrote through her.
