This here is one of my favorite Jimmie Rodgers’ tunes. Years ago, when I was just starting out, I had the pleasure of putting together a band, arranging, and picking the guitar for a version of this tune sung by the great folk singer from Iowa, Greg Brown.
I filmed this at a fun coffeeshop in La Crosse called the Grounded Patio Cafe. Had a blast playing there a few weeks ago. Check ’em out if you’re ever in the area. Good folks.
