Conductor Jack is an Emmy Award winning, children’s musician that specializes in organic, vaudeville-influenced folk music for young children and families. Energetic, educational, and entertaining, this solo show features Jack on guitar, ukulele, and harmonica – with his hand puppet friends Grandpa Sven and Buppy Bear!

Prior to his work as a full-time, professional touring performance artist and musician, Jack and his wife Kitty worked as preschool teachers. All of their children’s songs were written and created in the classroom. The TV series they co-created, The Zinghoppers Show, was seen daily by nearly five million viewers on over 100 PBS member stations nationwide as well as in 174 countries via the Department of Defense operated AFN Family Channel. Today, their YouTube channel reaches thousands of children daily.

Conductor Jack tours internationally – performing an average of 250 concert events annually. He is based in Minnesota. Jack and his puppets have toured the globe performing for the Pentagon – playing shows for families of US Military personnel stationed in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

Conductor Jack has performed at a wide range of venues – from theaters to performing arts centers, fairs, festivals, malls, libraries and more. One time he even sang in a chicken coop! Besides that, um, “unique” show, tour highlights include: the US Embassy International School (Amman, Jordan), The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington, D.C.), the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum (Nashville, TN), and the Mall of America (Bloomington, MN).

Q: How long is the show?
A: Most venues want Conductor Jack to play 45 to 60 minutes, however he is very flexible and will work with your need. Sometimes folks want him to sing for 30 minutes – and one time someone asked for 8 hours!! Uff da, that’s a lotta singing – but Conductor Jack did it!

Q: What ages is this for?
A: Conductor Jack’s show is designed to engage kids ages 2 to 8, however he often plays intergenerational shows where kids, their parents, and grandparents have fun. Think of Conductor Jack’s show as a big ol’ family dance party!
