Thoughts on Ai…
…to be a human is to be vulnerable, flawed, perfectly imperfect. To be an artist is to share this perfect mess with the world. A task which is becoming increasingly difficult in a plastic world driven by advertisements and algorithms. You will never find anything genuine, real, or human in Ai – just a soulless copy of our world, a cheap imitation stolen from humans and passed off as real. My advice? Slow down, breathe, and stop making billionaires even richer. Buy a pen and a notebook or some finger-paint, plunk a tune out on a banjo, try to write the next great novel – on your grandpa’s typewriter. Fail, but have fun. Laugh as you live in the fog of analog, and then you shall know what it truly means to be human.
In other words: nothing I create is assisted by Ai.
Cheers,
Jack
