Jack Norton sings "Ghost of the St. Louis Blues" with wife Kitty Norton

Two Old Ghosts Sittin’ Down By The River [VIDEO]

One time when me and Kitty were gonna play a show at the Acoustic Cafe in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, we got the bright idea to make a music video (cuz we got to town early). So we thought about it, and decided: let’s be ghosts down by the river!

We went to a thrift store and bought two white sheets.

Went down the river and started to mess around.

Ran into typical problems: wind, nosy people, and also couldn’t really see very well as the eye holes in our sheets kept moving around on account of the wind.

All in all a miserably fun shoot. Truly miserable. Truly fun.

Cheers!
Jack

PS: I learned this tune from an old Emmett Miller and his Georgia Crackers record. Was recorded by Miller for OKeh in 1929. Al Bernard also has a nice version of this tune!
